Valparaiso´s Hills

Located in the heart of Cerro Alegre and facing an impressive view of the bay of Valparaíso, Casa Higueras is the first boutique + design hotel to open in this port town. Following a careful restoration, this 1920s mansion has been converted into a charming hotel. Casa Higueras strives to bring together modern amenities with the warmth of the past, a nostalgic comfort that reflects the rhythm and character of Valparaíso.

It was here, beginning in the middle of the 19th century, that English and German immigrants built their homes and surrounded them with beautiful gardens, which gave way to the name Cerro Alegre (Cheerful Hill). Given its location on a sloping hill, the neighborhood acts as a balcony from which one can enjoy the view of Valparaiso. The hotel is located steps from the Yugoslavo Walkway and the century-old El Peral funicular, in a city zone declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
